Associate Professor of linguistic Dr Yasmine Barsoum is Head of the Foreign Applied Languages Deparment
Yasmine BARSOUM is an Assistant Professor and Head of the department of Applied Foreign Languages, Université Française d’Égypte. In 2012, she obtained her PHD in language sciences entitled “A study of bilingual terminology (French-Arabic) of the intellectual property law on the internet” at Université Sorbonne Nouvelle.
She has been working in the teaching field in Egyptian universities and institutes from 2001 as follows : from 2001, as a part-time teacher at Cairo University, from 2012-2017, as a lecturer, from 2007 – 2012, as a teaching assistant and from 2003 – 2007, as an assistant at Université Française d’Égypte.
She is a member of the National Association of Applied Foreign Languages. She participated in international conferences in different countries, such as France, Spain, Austria, Algeria, Roumania, etc.
She is a reviewer and a member of the Editorial Board in 7 scientific journals.
Her teaching areas are French Language, French Terminology and Graduation projects specialized in Terminology.
Her research areas are the language sciences and especially bilingual terminology (French-Arabic).
