Université Française d’Egypte offers a variety of scholarships and fellowships designed to help you and your family pay for university. Scholarships and grants are types of gift aid that do not have to be repaid.

Sawiris Foundation Scholarships

The Sawiris Foundation for Social Development is supporting best UFE students in their studies on the merit based. Higher High School degrees and best students of each year get partial scholarships designed to help you and your family pay for university.

Full Scholarship program

In partnership with the Ambassade de France en Egypte and Institut Français d’Egypte, Université Française d’Egypte awards up to 20 full scholarships to the best Thanywama Students from STEM, National Institutes and SGEC schools.

Scholarship from our network of supporting companies

Université Française d’Egypte has developed a large network of sponsor companies to help our students to overcome the burden of university studies. Our partners are also involved in tutoring.

Requirements

Awarding of scholarship is based on merit.

From score 75 to 80 = 15% Scholarship on Standard fees
from 80 to 90 = 25% Scholarship on Standard fees
From 90 to 95 (Bac, IG, American, IB) = 30% scholarship on standard fees
From 90 to 95 (Thanaweya Ama) = 50% scholarship
From 95 to 100 (Bac, IG, American, IB) = 35% scholarship
From 95 to 100 (Thanaweya Ama) = check with us eligibility for full scholarship
You may applied for financial aid in specific cases

Guidance for full scholarships

The scheme will reward 20 students who have achieved a particularly outstanding academic record. It will cover all tuition fees for the duration of the program: 3 years for a bachelor’s degree, 4 or 5 years for a bachelor’s degree and 2 years after the bachelor’s degree for a master’s degree. Students can benefit from these scholarships on all UFE programs offered in cooperation with 8 French partner universities, all ranked in the top 5% worldwide.
A jury organized by the university will meet and select the best applications based on the applicant’s academic excellence, motivation and the quality of his/her professional project.

Are UFE degrees recognized in Egypt and France?

Yes. UFE degrees are accredited and recognized in both countries by the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt and the Ministry of Higher Education in France. They are also recognized within Europe and the rest of the world.

What is the language of instruction at UFE?

The French University (UFE) courses are taught in the English language. UFE offers instruction in English, while you also learn French. English speakers will have the opportunity to learn French. French speakers will have the possibility to choose their courses in French or English during their first semester. Gradually they will attend to courses in English to enhance their multilingual abilities. Cultural activities and trips to France will offer plenty of opportunities to experience France. In addition, up to 50 professors visit UFE from France throughout the year. UFE is also an Arabic-speaking environment that promotes cultural exchange between Egypt and France.
