Biography

Yasmin Adel is an assistant professor of Industrial Engineering. She holds Bachelor degree in Production and Design Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, Egypt. Later she got her Master degree in Quality Management from the same university. The focus of the study was to design an effective quality system for a service industry in Egypt. Yasmin Adel has been working in a several position up to a head office manager of EGYCON a leading mechanical bridges constructor before she later designed an integrated assurance system for the service industry while pursuing her PhD from the same university. She gradually moved to an academic career by first working as a part-time faculty member at some leading local university before working as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where she taught several Industrial Engineering courses. She shortly joined the French University later after returning back.

Her teaching areas are Operations Management, Quality Management, Logistics Management, Quality Control, Operations Research, Logistics Information System, Operations Analysis, Global Logistics, Economy and entrepreneurship, Probability and Statistics

Research Areas

Quality Management, vehicle routing problem, lean supply chain, simulation, SERVQUAL, Genetic Algorithm, Mathematical programming.
