Rania EL ANWAR

Associate Professor

Professor of energy, with an international career, Pr Osama Badr is Head of the Mechanical Engineering Deparment

Biography

Rania El Anwar obtained her mechanical engineering from the faculty of engineering of Ain Shams University. In 2006, she obtained her master degree from the same university in the material engineering domain. In 2010, she obtained her PhD degree from Université de Strasbourg in Biomechanics. She worked as a teaching assistant in Akhbar El Youm Academy from 2000 to 2005 and then in the Université Française d’Egypte. From 2006 to 2010 she became lecturer assistant at the Université Française d’Egypte. From 2010 till now she is working as associate professor at the same university. She held the position of Acting Head of the Mechanics Department from 2013 to 2015. From 2015 till now she became the coordinator of the master program in the same department.

Teaching Area

She is teaching all courses related to engineering materials like: materials properties and testing, metallurgy, non-metallic materials, materials and manufacturing processes selection. She is also teaching drawing and assembly drawing courses. In addition, she used to teach production engineering and mechanical design courses.

Research Area

At the beginning she made some research work on the wear properties of aluminum-carbon composites but her main area research focused on biomaterials with great interest in soft tissue. Recently she started a new research axis on polymers reinforced with natural fibers.
