THE POSITION

 

The candidate will be responsible for the training of physics/chemistry/electronics students for the engineering program by helping them develop their skills, abilities and critical thinking.

He/she will participate in the supervision of engineering students during their projects or internships as well as of missionaries coming from French universities during their mission at UFE.

The candidate must have the ability to teach in French and/ or English and to supervise the teaching of this discipline by the part-time teachers (FR and EN).

The person recruited must hold a PhD in physics/chemistry or physics/electronics. He/she should also have a strong interest in pedagogical innovation and ICT. He/she will work in a team with the teachers of the engineering faculty.

He/she will participate in actions promoting the UFE and in the juries of the preparatory classes.

The candidate will carry out his/her research in computer science, mechatronics, materials or energy, focusing on UFE’s main research areas: circular economy, digitalization and multi–culturism, frugal engineering, sustainable mobility.

Fluency in English and/ or French is required. Speaking French is not a requirement but holding basic notions in French is an asset. French lessons are proposed to all new international faculty recruited. Salary will be commensurate with prior performance and experience, and our incentives are highly competitive.

The position is on our main campus in Shorouk, in Greater Cairo. The Shorouk city is well located at 20 min from the New Capital and New Cairo, 30 min from international Cairo airport and only 90min from the Red Sea.
